FIELD: signal optical processing.
SUBSTANCE: acoustic-optical deflector relates to signal optical processing at volumetric acoustic waves and it can be used in acoustic-optical spectrum analyzers, microwave range radio signals parameter meters as well as in communication systems and radiolocation. Acoustic-optical deflector has light/sound-pipe made in form of prism which has lower face, onto which face the piezoelectric converter is disposed, which converter excites ultrasonic beam with angle of drift γ, and top face with sound absorber applied to the face. It also has two light-transparent side faces. Light is applied to the first side face at angle θS1=90°-γ-θB=-[γ+θB(f0]) (f0), where θB(f0) is Bragg angle at control frequency f0. Lift diffracts through second side face at angle of θS2=90°+γ-θB(f0). First face of light/sound-pipe has angle of inclination of θS1=-[γ+θB(f0]) to surface where piezoelectric converter is disposed. Angle of inclination of the second face equals to θS2= [γ-θB(f0)].
EFFECT: improved precision of positioning of diffracted spot; improved diffraction efficiency.
