FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: repeated switching is performed for two switches belonging to one phase of ("racks") of the inverter or all switches of the inverter in the operating mode in compliance with algorithm of pulse-width modulation (PWM) or 180°-control ("six-pulse mode"); status control of electric motor windings is made against voltage drop at auxiliary resistor connected between the medium point of two resistors connected in series by blank outputs to inverter power bus and the ground (body). At that each of the resistors connected in series is shunted by a capacitor.

EFFECT: extension of functionalities for the mechatronic system and improvement of operating speed for status control of motor winding insulation resistance directly in the operating mode.
