METHOD OF CONTROLLING ORTHODONTIC CORRECTION OF SUPERIOR DENTAL ARCH AND ITS SEGMENTS Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61C7/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to orthodontics and is intended for detection of deviations and control of orthodontic correction of teeth location, shape and dimensions of superior dental arch. Half-sum of width of crown part of central and lateral incisors and canines is determined. Obtained value is used for selection of stencil from six typical stencils with pictures of shapes of dental arches, constructed with talking into account ratio of half-sum of width of crown part of central and lateral incisors and canines with length and width of dental arches as 1:2.3:1.3, where stencil number corresponds to obtained value. Stencil, selected as the initial one, is applied on patient's model on condition of convergence of medial stencil line with medial palate seam of model and maximal approximation to contact points of canines and premolars on model and stencil. Treatment is performed on the basis of visually detected deviations from the norm. In the course of treatment control and correction of treatment tactics is performed until condition of maximal convergence of said control positions on stencil with control positions on model of patient's superior dental arch is satisfied.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to detect deviations and control orthodontic correction of teeth location, shapes and dimensions of superior dental arch due to application of a set of typical stencils.
