METHOD FOR DETERMINING DEVIATION OF CHILD'S HEAD FROM ANATOMICALLY NORMAL POSITION Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC A61B5/103 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to dentistry, and can be used for dentofacial correction in children. Conditional reference lines which correspond to anatomical norms are drawn on the child’s face photograph: A is the vertical mid line of the child’s face, the perpendicular line through the centres of the pupils of the eyes is B and the line of the lips joining is C. Then true lines of deviations of the head from the norm are drawn – the middle line A', passing through centre point of nose bridge and sub-nosal point, line B' through centres of pupils of eyes, C' along lips joining line. Under condition of corresponding pairs of lines intersection determining values of AOA' angles, BOB' and COC' and the degree of deviation of the child's head from the norm: the first is the angles up to 15°, for second – from 16 to 30° and for third is not less than 31°. In the course of treatment, the deviation degree angles are correlated to match the respective lines with a norm.

EFFECT: method provides the reliability of detecting the head deviations from the anatomically normal position in the children suffering dento-facial anomalies and enables controlling the therapeutic effect.
