FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns orthodontics and can be applicable for express diagnostics of maxillary dental arch taper in permanent occlusion. A point between medial angular vertexes of central incisor crowns, a point in the middle of longitudinal fissures of the first premolars on the right and a respective point on the left, a front intersection point of longitudinal and transverse fissures of the first molars on the right and a respective point on the left, a point on the apex of distal palatal tuber of the first molar on the right and a respective point on the left are projected on a dense plate of transparent material. A straight line is drawn through two molar points on the right. The second straight line is drawn through two molar points on the left. A cross point of these straight lines are joined with the point between angular vertexes of central incisor crowns. The distance of derived straight line to premolar points on the right and on the left and the distance to the front intersection points of longitudinal and transverse fissures of the first molars on the right and to the left. The lengths of the right and left segments enable diagnostics and evaluation of one- or two-sided maxillary dental arch taper.
EFFECT: invention allows improving diagnostic accuracy and capacity.
