The composition applicable for prevention opportunistic infections in the immune compromised individuals contains the probiotic Bifidobacterium lactis, Bifidobacterium infantis, Bifidobacterium breve or Bifidobacterium longum and a fucosylated oligosaccharide specified in a group consisting of 2'-fucosyl lactose, 3'-fucosyl lactose, difucosyl lactose, lacto-N-fucopentaose, lacto-N-fucohexaose, fucosyllacto-N-hexaose and fucosyllacto-N-neohexaose. Using the composition in preparing the medicines or therapeutic nutritional composition for the prevention of opportunistic infections in the immune compromised individuals.
