FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is to be used in mining for protection of drum-type mill working surfaces. Rotary mill lining consists of lengthwise lifters and plate abutting them mounted at drum inner surface. Said plates are made of resilient material, e.g. polyurethane elastomer or rubber. Lifters in lengthwise direction consist of sections alternating over height, that, high- and low-level stages. Relationship between heights of said stages relative to surface of plates abutting the lifters hH/hL makes 2/1÷4/1. Lengths of said stages ℓH, ℓL make 250÷500 mm and 250÷500, respectively. Distance ℓ between axes of equal-height stages of adjacent lifters perpendicular to drum axis is taken to equal (0÷1)ℓL. High-level stage may be shaped to rectangle with cut angles or length of chain line. Lifter width increases from unloading to loading side due to extension above plate surface.
EFFECT: reduced dynamic load, longer life of lifters.
