FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: invention may be used to monitor deviations that arose in process of operation from initial form of inner surfaces of artillery tube barrels in order to assess suitability of such barrels for further operation. The device to monitor radial dimensions of the artillery tube barrel groove comprises a casing fixed on a rod. On the body there are rigidly fixed control and guide discs, and a connection bushing hingedly via a spherical bearing. The external diameter of the control disc is made as equal to the maximum external diameter of the missile body. The external diameter of the guide disc is made as equal to the diameter of the inner groove of the barrel reduced by the value providing for free displacement of the device along the groove. The distance between discs is chosen to limit impact of device warp at accuracy of measurements to the maximum. The connection bushing has thread for fixation of the device on a hose.

EFFECT: possibility to efficiently monitor condition of artillery tubes in areas of operation.
