FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention may be used to convert three-phase AC voltage into DC one with periodicity of rectification 12N (where N=2, 3, 4, …), and also three-phase AC voltage with high-quality harmonic composition. The converter of three-phase alternating current contains N (where N=2, 3, 4, …) of three-phase valve controlled bridges connected by input leads to the respective valve outputs of the primary phase windings of three-phase transformer which free outputs are connected to phase input leads; one pair of paralleling reactors (PR) and N pairs of their windings, N pairs of auxiliary diodes; each pole of the ith bridge specified above (where i=1, 2, 3, …,N) is connected to the outermost output of one of ith pair of PR windings while the other outermost output is connected to am electrode of one of the ith pair of auxiliary diodes; at that the ith auxiliary diodes and bridges of the ith bridge are connected to the outermost outputs of the same PR winding with homonymous electrodes; intermediate outputs of the ith pair of PR windings divide number of turns for each winding of this pair into uneven parts and form closed short-circuited outputs of the ith bridge, the primary coupling circuit by its the first output is connected to a zero input pin and by the second output it is connected to the common point of electrodes for each pair of auxiliary diodes; the secondary phase windings of the three-phase transformer are connected by both outputs for each winding to AC output pins, which are capable to form the secondary coupling circuit between the group of homonymous outputs for these windings and respective output pin, auxiliary winding of the three-phase transformer connected by an open delta scheme which is used for one of coupling circuits. Magnetically connected PR windings are connected by homonymous outputs to the homonymous poles of the above bridges, impedance values of the ith pair of PR windings are equal and current-voltage characteristics for respective pairs of auxiliary diodes are selected with minimum variation; valves of the ith controlled bridge connected to the same or different groups of transformer winding outputs are open for the value proportional respectively to the preset ratio or in identical way.

EFFECT: simplification of the claimed device.
