FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method and machine with vacuum gripper for cutting long loaf-like food product. Long loaf is fed by feeder to cutting mechanism and cut to slices, strips or cubes. In feeding, long loaf is clamped by vacuum gripper displace together therewith. Reduced pressure is created inside contact element of vacuum gripper. Said reduced pressure is created by means of, at least, one cylinder-piston unit with, at least, one piston confining contact element inner space.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of cutting.
