FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: food product loaf is supplied to the cutting device by means of a supplying device by means whereof the loaf is cut into slices, strips or cubes. During supplying motion the food product loaf is fixed by means of a vacuum gripper being supplied with the food product loaf. In the inner space of the vacuum gripper contact element one provides for depression impacting in one suction area on the contact element on one fixation area on the food product loaf surface. The suction area is divided into at least two separate suction subareas. The inner space of the contact element is divided into at least two inner subspaces, respectively. The suction subareas border on each other, respectively, along the contact line ensuring the possibility of separate fixation areas formation on the food product loaf surface.
EFFECT: reduction of the risk of vacuum failure or excessive leakage in the vacuum gripper contact element.
