FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves coagulation of a latex composition, followed by removal of moisture by squeezing and forced drying. Before coagulation, butadiene-styrene copolymer latex, containing 20-50 wt % sytrene, having Mooney viscocity of 40÷120 arbitrary units, is treated at pH 8.5÷10.5 with an ozone-air mixture separately or together with a filler dispersion to copolymer ozone absorption of 0.5÷1.5 wt % and ozonised latex, in case of separate treatment thereof with an ozone-air mixture, merged at pH=8.5÷10.5 with active silicic acid, having a specific absorption surface of 75÷200 m2 per 1 g, in form of an aqueous dispersion with concentration of 10÷20 wt %, stabilised by additives of oxyethylated alkylammonium bases with oxyethylation degree of 3.0÷8.0 in amount of 3.0÷6.0 wt % and 2.0÷5.0 wt % resin soap with respect to silicic acid, followed by separation of the filled modified rubber by coagulation and drying.
EFFECT: universal, energy-saving and environmentally safe method of producing active silicic acid-filled rubber compositions for making high-speed tyres with high traction with a slippery road, reduced internal heat build-up, improved elastic-strength properties.
