FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: portion of the main gaseous fuel and air are fed in generator for production of hydrogen-bearing converted fuel. Portion of converted fuel is mixed with said main fuel to be forced jointly with air into engine intake pipe. Note here that converted fuel is produced in generator built around compression machine by non-catalytic partial oxidation of superrich hydrocarbon mix in reaction high-pressure chamber. Air, main and converted fuels are fed directly in engine while converted fuel is fed in two portions in one working cycle of the engine. First portion of converted fuel is fed at intake stroke while second portion is forced into atomiser and injected at high pressure at compression stroke end.
EFFECT: reduced fuel consumption and toxicity of ICE exhaust gases.
