SUBSTANCE: in the method of determining electrical characteristics and/or identifying biological objects, the biological object is subjected to electric current for a certain period of time; current and voltage values are measured; the array of obtained data is stored and the obtained array is mathematically processed, wherein current and voltage are measured at the same time the biological object is subjected to electric current, wherein the object is subjected to at least one voltage pulse with a regular rate of rising and/or falling of the voltage of at least 104 V/s, preferably 107-109 V/s. An apparatus for realising said method is also disclosed.

EFFECT: invention provides a rapid and highly informative method and apparatus for analysing properties of biological objects.
