FIELD: methods for analysis of physical or chemical properties of materials according to their electrochemical parameters with use of digital calculation and data processing, possibly in metallurgy, metal working and machine engineering for quality control of products.

SUBSTANCE: method for automatic identification of metals and alloys with use of neuronetwork comprises steps of preliminarily teaching neuronetwork to set of characteristics, namely to image to be identified by neuronetwork; using as said characteristics electric parameters of processes occurred after acting upon electrochemical cell by means of trapezoidal voltage pulses; then supplying to inlets of learned neuronetwork values of electric parameters of processes occurred in electrochemical cell with investigated sample while acting upon electrochemical cell by means of trapezoidal voltage pulses; obtaining at outlet of learned neuronetwork data identifying investigated sample.

EFFECT: identification of any metal and alloy by means of user and also during production process, possibility for inspecting structure of alloy after its heat treatment.
