FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: following electrochemical system is formed: electrodes - electrolyte. Metal or alloy specimen is used as one of electrodes; then electricity is supplied to the formed electrochemical system, that is to say by at least one information voltage pulse sent, with at least one, exactly preset value of voltage increase/drop rate; measurement of the following electric parameters is made depending on voltage increase/drop rate: values of current and voltage drop; array of obtained data and their mathematical treatment is saved and simultaneously with the above impact before information pulse electric current with preset quantity is supplied to the electrochemical system. The invention also suggests device for metals and alloys identification that contains generator of information electric voltage pulses with control elements of voltage increase and drop, measurement module fit for measuring electric parameters of high current processes in electrolyte solution and PC.
EFFECT: ability to control and identify metal and their alloys with high accuracy, improving informational content and reliability of the method.
