SUBSTANCE: liquid crystal display panel has liquid crystal aligning films (18, 24) consisting of a polyimide that are formed on the front surface of a TFT substrate (10) and a colour filter CF substrate (20). The liquid crystal is tightly mounted between the TFT substrate (10) and the CF substrate (20). A metal film (40) is formed on the side of the TFT substrate (10), which can be optically identified on the side of the CF substrate (20), and can also operate as a plate which reflects infrared when measuring the degree of imidisation of the liquid crystal aligning film (18) covering the TFT substrate.

EFFECT: enabling quality control of a liquid crystal aligning layer.
