CHARGING METHOD FOR ELECTROCHEMICAL CURRENT SOURCE Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC H02J7/04

Abstract RU 2488205 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: charging method for electrochemical current sources (ECCS) by means of charging pulses supply when voltage is supplied to ECCS from the charger, control is carried out for variations of the first-order derivative of current against time dl/dt and charging current from zero value up to maximum value Imax at which the first-order derivative of current is controlled against time dl/dt is equal to zero; maximum values of current are maintained within a period of time till sign change of the derivative, then value of charging current is decreased till the value equal to 0÷(0.05÷0.1)Imax for the time equal to ≤(0,0015÷0,3)τ, where τ is time for charging current increase from zero till its maximum value. The method can include operations for control of the first-order derivative dU/dt and time period within which dU/dt value becomes constant; charging current is maintained as equal to zero within period of time which is not less than the time period within which the first-order derivative of charging voltage U at ECCS dU/dt becomes equal to zero or changes sign.

EFFECT: improvement of electrical characteristics for electrochemical current sources.
