FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in exhaust gas treatment. Proposed method comprises extraction sulfur dioxide at first stage c, flushing off gases by ammonium or its compounds fed via pipeline 10. Then, off gases are directed via pipeline 11 to second stage for flushing whereat sulfur dioxide not extracted at first stage c is oxidised to sulfuric acid by adding hydrogen peroxide via pipeline 12 at pH=1-5 to be extracted thereafter. Formed sulfuric acid release ammonium in the form of ammonium sulphate. Proposed device comprises catcher a to separate fly ash 6 and cooler 17. Scrubber b with discharge pipe 7 extracts hydrochloric acid and hydrofluoric acid.
EFFECT: efficient removal of sulfur dioxide, ruled out emission of ammonium.
