FIELD: packing industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of tobacco packaging, for instance, cigarettes. The invention objective is to develop a package for cigarettes, comprising a stop mechanism, having strength and reliability, differing at the same time with simplicity and cost-effectiveness of manufacturing. A pack for tobacco includes an outer casing. The outer casing includes two opposite front and rear large panels, two opposite small side panels and first and second ends arranged oppositely to each other. The first end is opened, and the second end is closed. The pack also includes an inner tray. The inner tray is placed inside the outer casing and may slide along the longitudinal axis stretching between the first and second ends of the outer casing to be extended from the first opened end of the outer casing. In the inner tray there is an opening. The pack also comprises a tab having a wide part arranged inside the inner tray, the width of which is more than the opening, and a narrow part attached with one end to the second end of the outer casing or near it. The narrow part stretches through the opening and is connected to the wide part. The opening and the tab form a stop mechanism to prevent extension of the inner tray from the first end of the outer casing further than the specified limit.
