FIELD: packaging industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of containers for packaging smoking articles such as cigarettes. The object of the invention is creation of a package for smoking articles, which housing is easy to use and has high strength. The package for smoking articles comprises an outer housing having the front and back large panels located opposite each other, two small side panels located opposite each other, and the ends located opposite each other; and an inner tray located inside the outer housing, which can slide along the axis, directed between the first and second ends. The inner tray comprises a base adjacent to the back large panel of the outer housing and parallel to it, and a lower edge adjacent to the first end of the outer housing when the package is fully closed. The configuration of the first end of the outer housing is such that it does not allow to remove the inner tray from the outer housing from the first end, and the second end is open to provide the extraction of the inner tray from the outer housing from the second end. The package comprises a stopping mechanism to prevent extraction of the inner tray from the second end of the outer housing further than predetermined limit. The subject of the invention is also a workpiece for forming the outer housing of the package and a workpiece for forming the inner tray of the package.

EFFECT: creation of the package for smoking articles, which housing is easy to use and has high strength.
