SUBSTANCE: pulse generator (IG) in a device for recording operational data in a car, particularly for a tachograph or a tacho-speedograph, with a measuring head (10), the measuring head (10) having multiple spaced apart sensors (11) which track mechanical revolutions and generate multiple sensor signals (S1, S2, S3) which correspond to the tracked revolutions, wherein there a data processing unit (20) is provided, the data processing unit being configured to compare multiple generated sensor signals (S1, S2, S3) with a recorded reference signal (SM) and alert, through a warning signal, on deviation from the recorded reference signal (SM) beyond a set limit.
EFFECT: high reliability of detecting attempts at manipulating a device for recording operational data.
