SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparation of a jellous polymer electrolyte for electrochromic light modulators with film electrochromic layers based on polymer acids. Added to a polymer acid is a low molecular subacid that is liquid at a temperature equal to the bottom limit of the light modulator operable temperature range.

EFFECT: increased mobility of ions in the polymer electrolyte, plastification of the polymer electrolyte layer ensuring stability of mechanical, electric and optic properties of the electrolyte in the course of long-term operation and storage of electrochromic light modulators.
