FIELD: electrooptical equipment. SUBSTANCE: proposed electrochromium device includes two dielectric plates on which internal surfaces current-conducting clear layers are deposited. Current-conducting clear layers come in the form of morphologically developed surface of microcrystalline structure with crystallite size of 0.05-0,35 μm and surface resistance not exceeding 10.0 Ohm/□. In correspondence with proposed process of manufacture of electrochromium device tinted electrochromium layer of indication electrode is reduced to least degree of oxidation ( to colorless form ) by way of its treatment in aqueous solution of salt of alkali metal by cycling with change of potential of indication electrode from -0.3 to +0.6 V with reference to chlorine-silver electrode.
