FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: electrophotographic imaging device, in which a process cartridge is detachably installed, is designed to form an image on recording material, said device having: 1) a first positioning part of the basic unit; 2) a second positioning part of the basic unit; 3) a first resilient element of the basic unit; 4) a longitudinal positioning part of the basic unit; and 5) a movable element which is linearly movable between the inner part and the outer part of the basic unit of the electrophotographic imaging device, while including a plurality of such process cartridges, said process cartridge including: an electrophotographic photosensitive drum; a frame for supporting said electrophotographic photosensitive drum; a support part which is supported by the movable element so as to support said process cartridge on said movable element; a first positioning part provided on one end face of said process cartridge relative the longitudinal direction of said electrophotographic photosensitive drum, for positioning in said first positioning part the basic unit in a direction that is transverse to the longitudinal direction of said electrophotographic photosensitive drum; a second positioning part provided on the other end face of said process cartridge relative the longitudinal direction of said electrophotographic photosensitive drum for positioning in said second positioning part the basic unit in a direction that is transverse to the longitudinal direction of said electrophotographic photosensitive drum; a longitudinal cartridge positioning part provided on said process cartridge at its other end face and designed for positioning the basic unit in the longitudinal positioning part, provided on the basic unit of the device, in the longitudinal direction of said electrophotographic photosensitive drum; and a tightening part provided in on the top surface of said frame next to the other end face of said process cartridge and designed to receive the downward directed inclined elastic force of the first resilient element of the basic unit in order to press said longitudinal positioning part of the process cartridge to the longitudinal positioning part of basic unit and press said second positioning part to the second positioning part of the basic unit, in a state where said first positioning part is positioned in the first positioning part of the basic unit.

EFFECT: process cartridge and an electrophotographic imaging device in which a process cartridge can be detachably installed, wherein the process cartridge can be installed with high accuracy relative the basic unit of the imaging device.
