METHOD OF REHABILITATING PATIENTS WITH CEREBRAL STROKE Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61H1/00

Abstract RU 2489129 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, neurology, rehabilitation of cerebral stroke patients with vestibular-atactic injuries. Training of patient is performed in vertical position on stabilometric platform with biofeedback (BFB). Vestibular gymnastics is preliminarily carried out, alternating it with breathing gymnastics, for 5-10 minutes. After 5-15 minutes training with BFB on stabilometric platform during 2-15 minutes is carried out. Then, suit of axial loading is put on patient and exercise on stabilometric platform in suit is continued for 3-5 minutes with gradual increase of time of exercise in suit to 20-40 minutes. Course consists of 8-10 procedures.

EFFECT: method ensures increase of rehabilitation efficiency due to initial reduction of reflection activity of vestibular formations, reduction of amplitude of postsynaptic stimulation potential, with additional influence on proprioceptive trigger afferent system with normalisation of regulation of tone of postural muscles, coordination of muscular synergies, ensuring preservation of balance, functional independence of patient, easier endurance of loads by them, with improvement of emotional status, reduction of terms of rehabilitation procedures.
