METHOD FOR REHABILITATION OF PATIENTS WITH CEREBRAL APOPLEXY WITH PRONOUNCED VESTIBULAR-ATAXIC DISORDERS Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A61H1/00

Abstract RU 2573554 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: patients suffered cerebral apoplexy with pronounced vestibular-ataxic disorders take three-staged lessons with the use of a force place with biological feedback implemented by means of computer label tracing and moving. The first stage involves laying the patient on the force plate, whereas the biological feedback is carried out when the patient adducts and abducts his/her feet out and in to move the computer label. At the second stage, the patient is set down with his/her feet placed on the force platform; the biological feedback is reached when the patient rests his/her feet against the plate, bows in sagittal and lateral directions to move the computer label. At the third stage, the patient stands on the force plate and provides the biological feedback by tracking and moving the computer label by displacing his/her body centre of pressure onto the feet in different directions. At all the stages, the patient speaks through his/her actions and the label moving. The lesson lasts for 2 to 15 minutes and is gradually extended as far as the patient's moving stabilises.

EFFECT: method enables decreasing the vestibular-ataxic manifestations in the patients suffered apoplexy and ensuring his/her functional independence, improving emotional health, achieving therapeutic effect by taking gradual lessons of a force plate.
