METHOD FOR EQUILIBRIUM CORRECTION IN CASE OF ATACTIC SYNDROMES Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61H3/00

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treating-rehabilitating medicine, neurology. Vestibular-correcting exercises with load on coordinating structures of patient due to dosed bringing patient's gravity center beyond the area of support with holding an object and preserving equilibrium are done. As object used is pole - telescopic pipe, with possibility of changing its length individually for patient. On its end fastened are a kinesthetic sensor and integrated light and sound devices. Exercises are performed in positions: standing on hard and/or soft surface, with open, closed eyes, feet at width of and/or wider than shoulders, and/or brought together, and/or in tandem position, and/or standing on one foot, with following walking straight, on specified trajectory. Simultaneously carried out is "rolling" from heels on toe or without it, and/or sitting. Here is necessary to hold pole and/or poles in condition of equilibrium, with sound accompaniment. Patient is holding pole and/or poles by turn in right, left hand, or in both, - in frontal and/or sagittal planes. When patient is holding pole and/or poles in condition of equilibrium, light device on pole provides green signal, and when hand trembling of patient's hand increases or it lowers lower than 45 degrees - red light and sound signal. Duration of one exercise is 30-40 sec, duration of session is 30 minutes, 1 time per day during 10-12 days.

EFFECT: method ensures increase of patient's stability while and walking, reduction of patient's risk to fall during walking, activation of statolocomotor synergy, formation of new motor stereotype of claimed group of patients.
