FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: refractory ceramic material has high solidus temperature in the range of 2500÷2800°C, sealing degree of more than 85% and microstructure of composite material that contains granules of hafnium dioxide HfO2 having monoclinic structure (1), granules of hafnium dioxide HfO2 having cubic structure (2) that is stabilised with yttrium oxide Y2O3; contained in the amount of 0.5÷8 mol % of total quantity of moles of hafnium dioxide HfO2, closed pores and open pores that are not connected to each other. Open pores comprise less than 3% of total volume of ceramic material. In order to obtain refractory ceramic material, HfO2 and Y2O3 powders are mixed in the specified ratio, granulated by pelletising when being sprayed to dry mixture of water solution of polymer binding agent, granules are dried, pressed at the pressure of 20-50 MPa and sintered. After sintering additional processing of products is possible.
EFFECT: obtaining ceramic material that does not rupture at cyclic temperature increase or decrease.
