FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polyurethane elastomer articles, such as pneumatic tyres, made from prepolymer mixtures, in which content of free diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI) ranges from 2.0 to 5.0 wt % based on the weight of the prepolymer mixture. The prepolymer mixtures contain prepolymer based on polyester, polyether or polycaprolactone (PCL) and MDI. The polyurethane elastomer articles are formed by curing the prepolymer mixture with a chain extender which contains a methylenedianiline-sodium chloride complex. The articles have good physical properties, may weigh over 225 kg and have a three-axis thickness greater than 10.2 cm.
EFFECT: obtaining polyurethane pre-elastomer mixtures, having a long stable shelf life, which are suitable for making large elastomer articles, having thick sections, that are to be cured.
