SUBSTANCE: in cold starting and/or hearting at idling, ICE 1 is started at preset operating parameters. In compliance with this invention, amount of nitrogen oxides accumulated in SC-catalyst 8 is estimated to activate engine cold starting in case estimation displays nitrogen oxide amount exceeding preset tolerance.

EFFECT: better fuel heat release, reliable starting at very low temperatures.
