FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for operating the installation in exhaust gases, wherein the removal of soot particles from the exhaust gas is conducted through a dust filter. Dust filter is regenerated with NO2, formed on located above NO oxidation catalyst. NOx regeneration is carried out by adding the exhaust flow above the dust filter reducing agent which splits off ammonia. Dust filter is filled with the catalytically active material for selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides. It is envisaged that the ratio of NH3 to NOx (ratio of supply α) change by periodically varying the emission of nitrogen oxide to purifying and/or amount of reducing agent supplied in this way to feed ratio α periodically varied between values above unity to a value below one.
EFFECT: creates a compact and effective exhaust gas purification.
