FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: speed metre for ice ships is made in the form of a Doppler radio speed metre and includes an antenna device consisting of a pair of two-beam antenna located on shipboards with formation of a four-beam antenna system, a receiver-transmitter, a Doppler frequency measuring device, a calculating device, an indicator, which are connected in series, and a converter that is connected at its inputs/outputs to inputs/outputs of the calculating device and is connected at two more inputs to outputs of the ship wind metre and a ship course indicator respectively. The speed metre also includes a correlation device; on each shipboard there installed are at least two more antenna devices; the correlation device is connected at its input to the output of the receiver-transmitter and at its output to the calculating device input.
EFFECT: improving speed measurement accuracy by means of a Doppler radio measuring system of ice ships.
