FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation of mineral contaminants from calcium carbonate ores of sedimentary and metamorphic origin, said, limestone, chalk and marble. Proposed method comprises grinding and sorting calcium carbonate rocks to particle size 1 mm to 250 mm by means of appropriate device. Said device is located downstream of detection zone and controlled by computer-based estimation device in response to sensor signals obtained on radiation of radiation into flow of said particles. Note here that said radiation is emitted by X-ray source and recorded by, at least, one sensor. Note here that X-ray radiation passed through, at least, two filters with respect to power spectra. Said filters are arranged upstream of, at least, one sensor and sensor lines with multiple individual pixels positioned across the flow of particles. Note also that sensor line is intended for every of at least two filters.
EFFECT: alternative method of separation.
