FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: stand for capturing stereoscopic images consists of a base and an arched rail mounted on said base and lying in the same plane. There is a movable sliding piece on the arched rail which moves along the arched rail, and a camera which performs successive capturing is mounted on the top part of the sliding piece. The stand also has a drive mechanism for moving the sliding piece, which consists of driving and driven rollers lying in an axial direction at both ends of the base on the same side of the arched rail and connected by a transfer mechanism. The transfer mechanism is a drive belt or a drive chain. End switches are mounted at both ends of the rail. The camera shutter and the electric motor of the drive mechanism are mechanically controlled by a an articulated switch.

EFFECT: capturing stereoscopic images of the same object successively at different angles, simple design and easier handling.
