FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: piezoelectric drive includes a piezoelectric element with support at one of its ends, an element with friction surface, a clamping element that clamps the support to friction surface, the base. In-between the piezoelectric element and base there is an insert which is fixed to the second end of piezoelectric element by its one side and to the base by the other side. The insert is made so that it can move freely in direction of pressing force acting to the support; the insert is rigid along the axis of movement. The piezoelectric element consists of at least two primary piezoelectric cells fixed to each other by one of their ends and located at the same side of their attaching point.

EFFECT: increasing the range and stability of movement along guides and increasing performance reliability.
