SUBSTANCE: device has a unit for selecting from a network data packets with addresses matching subscriber addresses, a source of narrowband optical radiation and an optical addressed deflector, according to the invention, is further provided with a control unit for control electrodes and a polariser. Mathematical simulation of the efficiency of deviation of optical radiation by the disclosed electrooptic deflector conducted by the authors showed that the preferred size of controlled electrodes, which provides a cost-effective balance between diffraction efficiency and microminiaturisation requirements, should not be greater than ¼ λ, with thickness of the layer of a class 3m uniaxial crystal of not more than 2 λ, where λ is the wavelength of the optical radiation source.
EFFECT: enabling fibreless access to data transmission networks.
