FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for heat treatment of feed grain on livestock farms and interfarm feed-milling establishments. The method of production of expanded feed grains includes loading of grain material in a sealed chamber, processing of grain material in the chamber, and discharging. The grain material is compacted in the filling valve, thermally treated in the sealed chamber at a temperature of 300-340°C, a pressure of 6-8 MPa and exposure for 20-90 s, compacted in the discharge valve, expanded at a temperature of 20°C and a pressure of 0.1 MPa.

EFFECT: use of the proposed method enables to improve the feeding value of the finished product through the use of continuous flow mode, makes it possible to perform the predetermined optimum conditions for each type of feed grain, according to the temperature, pressure, processing time, to reduce the specific cost of feed by 15-20%, to exclude idle period of the sealed chamber at loading and discharging, loss of time and vapour.
