SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely dermatology and medical equipment, particularly to hair growth apparatuses and methods for growing hair wherein light is used for the purpose of hair growth. For the purpose of the embodiment of the declared method, skin is irradiated simultaneously or alternately at different wave lengths equivalent to a wave length of specific water adsorbtion. The first wave length generated by a first light source makes 950 nm. The second wave length generated by a second light source makes 1450 nm. The apparatus for the embodiment of the given method comprises an emitter consisting of two light sources designed to generate the light of the above wave lengths, a controller used to adjust the above first and second light sources switching them simultaneously or alternately. The apparatus is used to irradiate the skin continuously for at least 15 minutes, while the wave length to irradiate the skin is specified depending on the patient's age.

EFFECT: use of the group of inventions enables hair growth without skin injury with the increased amount of hair in the irradiated regions in a combination with higher hair growth and hair thickness, as well as a provided stable hair growth effect regardless of the state and age of the individual to be irradiated.
