FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and apparatus for producing ammonia from a mixture of ammonia, H2S and/or CO2-containing acidic gas and low-boiling water-soluble organic components. The method involves absorbing acidic gases in an acidic gas absorber with aqueous ammonia solution, wherein from the upper part of the acidic gas absorber, acidic gas-free ammonia is removed a considerable degree; a partial stream of the liquid phase from the acidic gas absorber is removed and treated so as to obtain NH3 gas with low content of volatile organic compounds, which is fed back into the acidic gas absorber, wherein the partial stream from the acidic gas absorber is fed into a first stripping column, in which volatile components are removed in a considerable degree; the overhead product of the stripping column is partially condensed and remaining vapour is fed back into the acidic gas absorber.

EFFECT: invention includes a method and an apparatus for producing ammonia, in which high enrichment with an organic compound is prevented and an uninterrupted process is ensured.
