FIELD: manufacture of gear wheels by rolling out process with use of double-profile engagement. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of working by tool having shifted initial contour. Shift of initial contour is selected in such a way that to improve accuracy of gear wheels due to lowered specific pressure drops in contact points alternating along engagement line of tool and blank according to pressure angle in end plane of worked gear wheel in pole of engagement with tool with use of given expression in dependence upon end modulus, number of gear wheel teeth, profile angle of initial contour in end plane, thickness of tooth along arc of pitch circle (for internal engagement - recess width), end factor of overlapping, curvature radius in lower point of working profile of gear wheel, base diameter. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of gear wheel. 7 dwg
