FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to cardiology. A sensor placed above the artery within a pressure mechanism is used to measure a pulse wave local burst (LB) phenomenon. The local burst is characterised by a wave steep in a pulse wave circuit that is followed by a short decay continued by a steep. The pressure value of the pressure mechanism is recorded. The diastolic blood pressure is an artery pressure of the pressure mechanism whereat the compression process is accompanied by the LB phenomenon, and the decompression process is not. The systolic blood pressure is an artery pressure of the pressure mechanism whereat the compression process is not accompanied by LB phenomenon, and the decompression process is.
EFFECT: method provides higher reliability and accuracy of the blood pressure ensured by recording the cyclic motions of a vascular wall when the pulse wave meets an obstacle.
