FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Proposed mould comprises bed, sidewalls, water-cooled stool and casing. Said casing is arranged with clearance relative to mould sidewalls. Clearance increases over mould height in compliance with the equation δ=(0.3-0.4)-h where h is mould height and δ is clearance. Heat-isolation shield is arranged above exposed surface of the mould.
EFFECT: increased use factor and lower labor input.
