FIELD: corrosion protection. SUBSTANCE: magnesium- alloy corrosion protector for oil and gas constructions is made in the form of semicircle. Protector has coaxially aligned core protruding from two sides to 1/7-1/12 its total length. Height-to-length ratio equals (0.8- 1.2):(1.12-0.8). When casting protector, casting mold is warmed for more than 30 min, core is heated at temperature higher than 100 C and placed in casting mold, into which magnesium alloy is poured in with rate 1 to 3 kg/s. Protector is continuously cooled with water at 70-80 C and pressure 0.2 MPa. EFFECT: improved quality of protector due to decreased pipes, hollows, and oxide and flux inclusions. 5 cl, 1 dwg
