FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method is implemented at continuous caster equipped with process controller. Said controller incorporates first software tool 2 to make computation in real time and to regulate casting. It incorporates second fast-computation software tool 2 to influence casting process in its starting procedure or in changing continuous cast billet parameters in current casting. Software tool 1 processes actual data of current casting process and/or data stored in data base 8 to generate correction factors. Second software tool 2 creates corrected ratings for casting using said correction factors. First software tool 2 controls casting solely with the help of said data unless casting is completely represented by data calculated in real time.
EFFECT: decreased rejects, higher quality.
