FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used for honing of at least one suspended section of metal strip. Honing device comprises devices for abrasive element vertical positioning on strip surface and across strip motion. Device for abrasive element positioning across strip motion allows connection with vertical positioning drive and reciprocation from strip one edge to another one. Proposed device comprises the first means to apply uniform pressure of abrasive element to suspended section of the strip connected with second means for correction of pressure subject to lengthwise tension of the strip suspended section.
EFFECT: automated honing in processing at machining unit.
