SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry, particularly, to component parts of crossover utility vehicles, minivans, etc. Proposed mud flap has mounting section with L-like cutout, protective part and sealing apron. Mounting section, protective part and sealing apron are interconnected in boomerang-like line equidistantly and I proportion with vehicle body appropriate edge shape. Mounting section and sealing apron top part are curved inside toward spray flow in radius of 700-1500 mm, preferably, 1000 mm. In compliance with second version, L-like cutout is made to form the ledge on mounting part inner side with preferable width of 85+/-10 mm and vertex at the height of 1/3 to 3/4, preferably 4/7 of total mud flap height at mud flap total height of 350+/-15 mm and mud flap preferable width of 250+/-10 mm.

EFFECT: higher versatility, ease of mounting, lower material input and higher efficiency of production.
