FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: pneumatic-mechanical planting unit comprises a vibration-orienting feeder for planting seed onion oriented with its disc downwards, and a pneumatic drum. The vibration-orienting feeder is mounted above the pneumatic drum and is made stepped. The step height is greater than the height of the bulb. The feeder is mounted at an angle to the horizon by 2…3° greater than the angle of friction of sliding the bulbs along the sheet metal. In the area of descent of the bulbs from the feeder to the pneumatic drum a through slot is made, which width is greater than the diameter of the bulb and the length is equal to minimum three bulb diameters.
EFFECT: invention enables to provide increase in uniformity of distribution of the bulbs in their layout along the row.
