FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and is intended for plastic boring. The tool is composed of a solid of revolution that comprises diverging, gaging and facing surfaces. Solid of revolution of the tool is made of high-speed steel with mid heat-insulation layer applied on tool shaping sections to hinder heat withdrawal from machining area to the tool and, further, machine tool spindle, and outer wear-proof layer.
EFFECT: simplified tool production, higher efficiency of boring, lower costs.
