FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: diaphragm consists of a network of polymer fibres bound to a hydrophilic ceramic material containing zirconium which is chemically bound to hydroxyl groups. The ceramic material from zirconium oxide (ZrO2), mechanically bound to the polymer fibres, is subjected to hydration under vacuum, which can be carried out directly in the cell using suitable equipment.
EFFECT: improved power consumption parameters and gas separation characteristics.
